I love this song, and the video, it reminds me my old house, where I grew up. I used to be a very gothic dark little creature on my own. I used to poke my dolls' eyes, cut their hair and rip off their cute little dresses to put some of my chemises instead of those beautiful little dresses that they came from. I usually cut their hair (very badly) and they looked really freaky. To the point my brother was scared of them.

Why did I do it?

1. I used to cut their hair because I thought it grew back like mine's. (my grandma asked my why? when I was about 4 or 5 years old. I clearly remember it. I remember what I said.

2. I poked the eyes of some of my dolls because I wanted to know what was inside. But when I found out something very dark was inside I never did it again.

3. I did change their clothes because I wanted to be more like me... at that age I usually wore only undergarment clothes at home.... I still don't like dresses. They are so uncomfortable.. You literally have to take care of every single side of it! It is so annoying!!!! to much attention for just a silly garment! I want to be free of movement. Does that make sense????


I used to put all my "adapted to Lucia dolls" over my bed and my brother and I slept on the same room sometimes. He was so scared of them. I never understood why. Until today. Even though he explained me it was because of an episode of "night Gallery" (galeria nocturna) where a doll used to suck blood out of the people at this huge mansion. hehehe very scary. I'm glad I didn't watch that episode. oh! and the looks of all of them, all messed up, very shocking... but I just liked them because they were perfect for me, more like me, more "casual" hehehe :Op...

I guess my aesthetics are completely different from normal people.

wooow, how should I start? how long is it been? 20 years? yes, 20 years that my quest to find this song started. It was around 20 years ago that I heard the song for the first and only time. But... it was so beautiful.. it was one of those songs that sticks inside your soul forever. this was when I was probably like 4 or 5 years old.
Thanks to my elephant memory I did remember all this years the lyrics... sometimes I had to concentrate so hard to get the song out of my old memories. But there it was... all the time... replaying in my memory everytime I wanted! :O) :OP for my own and private pleasure... Until one day... I was traveling from Tampico to Monterrey by bus and I THERE IT WAS! the bus driver, who always plays music when driving, put a cd on this stereo (I was traveling on seat #3 as usually, hence I could hear all the song)

and I couldn't believe it! it was the song!!! that mysterious song, I almost thought at moments it was kind of a dream... I mean, all this years, passed by and never knew who sang it and what year it was! nothing! I search for it on the net many years after, just to find out another girl with the same problem, as strange as it was she remembered the song and lyrics although she only heard it once! JUST LIKE ME!
anyways here I was, in shock, petrified and I couldn't even dare to ask the bus driver what song it was because I was afraid to stop listening to that song!
it was just too shocking!!!!

after the song finished I promised to myself I will find out who sings that song. And I also thought that probably the bus driver didn't know because I remembered him saying those cds where burned and that a friend of him, lend his CD collection for the road. ouch!
so there I was for the second time in my life, after so many years after, listening to that beautiful song again.

That song reminds me of my childhood, my grandma, the movie matinee about scary themes like The eeeend of the woorrrrlllddd uuuuuuuhhhh!!!

me just climbing to an orange tree and staying there all afternoon at my father's ranch. And watching my grandma looking for me while I was hidden on top of the tree, when it was begining to get dark. I never liked dresses because of my free spirit always looking for adventures at the forest, ranch, plantations and everything that sounded like nature!... I used to wear only a white little t-shirt and navy blue shorts although I do have an ugly scar on my knee. As a kid I had long hair, always kept in a pony tail and bangs or fringe over my forehead :O) which I managed to keep until today ;O)
The pony tail and my beautiful hair is gone because it was too painful to brush!! It was simply too long: below my waist. :OS

Ok today while I was writing the article of the history of Apple for my magazine I remembered my good old days of geek (I am still and very proud geek! :Op ) those days when my brother and I began programming on my good old Commodore 64 on BASIC Language!
hehehe we remember we spent all night coding on a tutorial game. We finished at 6 am
just to find out the game was a stupid boat moving!

those were the foundation of my life as a geek :O)
